Jod-Schwefelbad Bad Wiessee
Bad Wiessee is home to thermal springs with the highest concentration of iodine and sulphur in Germany. Since opening on 15 June 2020, the town's newly designed bathhouse – which comes from the mind of architect Matteo Thun – has been offering its visitors a holistic experience for the body and spirit. Its sunlit atria invite you to take these unique waters in the comfort of your own tub.
Jod-Schwefelbad Bad Wiessee – Promote your health with the power of nature!
While the Dutch prospector Adrian Stoop was actually looking for oil in Bad Wiessee back in 1909, we can count ourselves lucky that he stumbled across thermal springs rich in sulphur and iodine.
The benefits of the Jod-Schwefelbad were most recently confirmed by the Austrian university PMU Salzburg in the Jungbrunnen-BERG study (2018): Its soft water stimulates the immune system for an extended period of time, and even rejuvenates the body's cells. The facility's immersion baths and mist treatments also promote healthy-looking skin, boost the musculoskeletal system, help relieve circulatory disorders, and restore the body's pH balance. You’ll start to see the most sustained effects of these sulphur- and iodine-rich waters after three sessions. If you suffer from dry eyes or have issues related to macular degeneration, you might also be interested in an eyewash, or in inhalation treatment for allergies or bronchitis.
The friendly staff at the Jod-Schwefelbad Bad Wiessee will be happy to advise you on the best way to take advantage of its restorative thermal springs.
