Glashütte
The restaurant Glashütte offers refreshments in summer and winter. In the past, poachers, hunters, smugglers, glassblowers, pastors, road construction workers and travelers to Tyrol used to come together here - at the foot of the Roß- und Buchstein. Because the border to Austria and the Achensee is not far from here. Today it is hikers, cyclists, day trippers in the Tegernsee valley and locals who populate the wonderful beer garden (with bakery) in summer. The inn is the starting point for hikes, for example to the Hochalm or Tegernseer Hütte. Cyclists are very welcome. It is located about twelve kilometers from Kreuth in the north and from Sylvenstein in the southwest. The tour to Lake Achensee is around 26 kilometers long. In winter, cross-country skiers are drawn to the inn, because this is where the almost 23-kilometer long, mostly flat cross-country trail Kreuth - Glashütte ends with a four-kilometer skating track (Can also be driven in partial sections). Sufficient parking spaces are available at the house.
