BOAT-BUILDING EVENT/ INCENTIVE

Each team builds its own dragon boat, paddles it and tries to cross the finishing line before all other teams!

This empowering team experience requires every single participant’s enthusiasm and creativity. A perfective alternative to raft-building.

The task of building a seaworthy dragon boat that can be propelled by paddling makes for an exciting team challenge. It takes successful planning, organisation, communication and creativity as a group.

Upon completion, the boats’ buoyancy is tested, immediately followed by exciting races on the water. Experience paddling just like on a real boat – faster than any self-made raft!

Boat-Building

All materials are ready for your: wood, plastic sheeting and ropes. Using these and a construction plan, you will build your own dragon boat. Small groups (of up to eight) must assemble the pieces within a given time frame and complete a seaworthy boat. Creative challenge is the design of an individual dragon head for the boat’s prow. Which team will be first to complete their boat?

Boat Race

After assembling the boats, the sportive challenge follows. All teams take their boat to the start line and once the signal has been given simultaneously pick up speed. Which team is able to paddle in time with the best sense of rhythm? This short race is all about having fun. Each team aims for the goal of a buoy on the lake, where a treasure waits to be lifted.
