In order to be able to feed the large crowd of monks, the Tegernsee Monastery built the Lieberhof many centuries ago, where agriculture is operated on the slopes above the abbey. Even after the monastery was closed, the Lieberhof remained a farm until it was turned into an inn in 1918 by the Tegernsee rural community. Today, more than 100 years later, the history of the monastery serves as the basis for the culinary offer and old products, recipes and techniques are to be brought back into focus.

Whether for exuberant birthdays, festive weddings or special occasions in small groups: the Lieberhof offers the perfect setting. A unique culinary offer, an ambience to dream, rustic and landmarked rooms with a high level of comfort, and of course the probably most beautiful terrace on Lake Tegernsee are available to guests. The special atmosphere and the professional commitment of all employees are guaranteed. Of course, both the individual rooms and the terrace or the entire courtyard can be booked exclusively for celebrations and events.
