With the mountain guesthouse Aibl, Bavarian hospitality is idyllically located at 900 meters above sea level at the foot of the Hirschberg, in the middle of the Kreuther mountains. The manager is still at the stove himself and hunts the game for the Bavarian and Tyrolean specialties in his own hunting ground. Of course, "Schorsch" Ertl knows the regular guests by name and indulges all gourmets in his cosy lounges, in the winter garden or in the beer garden with a special view of the surrounding mountains as well as with schnapps, game and fish. But that's not all: Georg and Anita Ertl's family business also has its own trout pool and its own distillery - in addition to their own hunting. For the delicacies on the menu, the manager also gives the finishing touches himself! Our tip: First enjoy the saddle of young deer and then Ertl's widely praised caramelized Kaiserschmarrn with apple compote. Closed on public holidays!
